Mt. Eric, Washington: There are 743 islands in this ice age-created area with only 40 occupied by man. Early spring brings newly born fawns and eagles building their nests. It’s easy to leave behind all the congestion and lights of the city by taking a ferry out to these green jewels filled with rocky points and sheltered coves... an area well preserved with care for its beauty. Ah, the joy of long summer daylight evenings.
